Endeavour

 It is disturbing

the light cannot reach me

I cannot hear a sound 

yet here I am 

alive

and well

It is frustrating

the shadows vanish inside me

a fire rages 

on a glacier

yet here I stand blind

sunk into the deep eternal night.

It is annoying

I try to write

but words fly

I try to speak

but silence devours every sound

I try to make

so here I stand 

alone

It is unbearable

I try to move

but sky invades

I reach with my hands

but everything turns

to ashes 

again and again.

I will try once more

for eternity's sake

to live in normal fashion

wrecked

wise enough I am

to understand 

a foolish endeavour this to be

yet here I stand 

alone

wrecked

into the red eternal light

of this massacre

I stand in love.
